My name's Zayd Shaik. I'm a 3D animator currently working in the industry, with credits on several shows (including Curses! for Apple TV, and Jurassic World Chaos Theory & Gabby's Dollhouse for Netflix). I also have work experience as a video editor for online skits & advertisements, and love to draw & sketch on the side.

Ever since I was little, it has been my lifelong passion to work in animation/film; always obsessed with behind-the-scenes featurettes on my DVDs and doing my own research on how to break into the industry. This led to me to pursuing & completing Animation Mentor's Character Animation programme, as well as obtaining a B.Sc. in Animation from ICAT Design & Media College.

I am especially passionate about animating believable, natural, and fresh acting. I always go into a scene wanting to give characters a fresh perspective; one that I hope that at least one person out there watching can connect with. I also love working within new & exciting animation styles a la SpiderVerse. I am also known by my peers for my work ethic that is speedy, but doesn't sacrifice quality.

My main hobbies include watching & analyzing film, playing video games (especially Nintendo and Sega), hanging out with my cats, going out for nice walks around the city, and sketching out characters & portraits of others. I'm always eager to give back to the animation community, spread my knowledge with others, and learn more from them, which is why I also teach as a volunteer alumni tutor at Animation Mentor.

I am currently based in Chennai, India, but since I'm also a US citizen, I am also able to easily relocate and work there! Either way, I look forward to working with you all soon!
